For dual system fingerings, use the conservatiore system fingering chart (there aren't any charts specifically for dual system), but the only difference will be for Bb and C - where the left thumb is lifted. But you can still use conservatoire fingerings for Bb and C, and most people brought up on thumbplate system that have changed to dual system use the conservatoire Bb and C fingerings for A-Bb and B-C trills - almost in the same manner where you would use the RH side key on a thumbplate system oboe.

I used to play a B&H Regent (or B&H Reject) when I first learnt oboe while at school, but I knocked it over one day and the middle tenon snapped - not a huge loss as I didn't get on with this oboe at all. Then I tried a Marigaux about 10 years later and that prompted me to take it up again as it played beautifully, and I surprised myself at the tone I could make with this one.

So I bought a Yamaha Custom 821TP and as this was dual system I took the thumbplate off to see if I could learn to play using conservatoire fingerings which are much better as more fingers are kept on the instrument. But then I struggled with certain arpeggios when I wanted to lift the thumb for Bb or C (F Major, C Major, A minor, G minor etc.), so now I use primarily conservatoire fingerings, but only use the thumbplate for arpeggios.

I can play on conservatoire system oboes (without an added thumbplate) much better than I can on pure thumbplate ones, provided the top LH 1 fingerplate is almost closed.

I can't get on with purely thumbplate system oboes at all now (S10, S20 and the old pro S2 oboes) - if I go for Bb using conservatoire fingering (xxo|xoo) on one of these, I just get a flat A instead!
