Well, the trick is to "aerate the high notes," as John Mack used to say. He meant to open the throat to the max by dropping the chin, flattening the tongue & pinning the backside of the navel against the front side of the spinal column. Doing this will force more air into the reed, thereby improving the pitch & intonation in the upper register. This is hard to do & even harder to sustain. Practice helps until it becomes habit. If it weren't so difficult, there would be as many oboists as guitarists or kazoo players.
