Somebody mentioned Covey oboes. I only tried one, it was a friend's, and I wasn't impressed. However, I only tried that one. I have however heard of people playing Loree oboes and using a Covey bell. Apparently the bore and other attributes of the bell work well on Loree instruments. I think they fit Loree instruments without adjustment. Anyhow, the point is, sometimes people don't realize how much the bell can effect the sound of the instrument.
