My suggestion would be to go to a convention such as IDRS where there are many different manufacturers and you can try the instruments. There are some instrument makes I would have never considered before such as the Buffet Greenline and the Yamaha 800 series, but there are professionals out there who love them. You can also find stores online that sell them.
