Hi,
Chris - thanks for the list. Although, I still need a local dealer with experience - to try the instruments.
I have already contacted Nora Post.
Now, I am very interested in hearing the opinions of American/European players on non-Loree instruments.
I heard the Rigoutat has just introduced a new "J" series. Any Marigaux ...... Buffet ...............Howarth ....................players out there.. etc.
Are the Loree's really best suited for the American long scraped reed?
What are the Loree attributes that so attract American Players?
How do they compare to other Oboes on the market?
Or is this just an American historical/cultural phenomenon?
Mark
PS: I presently play a Loree standard bore oboe. L series.
