People like Lorees because of the pretty plush purple case interior, duh. Its so enticing people just HAVE to have it.

Haha jk, I agree with some of the older posts about "tradition" and whatever. Alot of my high school oboe studio people got lorees because our teacher had one and her teacher had one. One of her students bought a loree because our teacher pressured her to buy one and she already had a beautiful Marigaux. I mean, I have a Loree and its just a question of the quality of each instrument, not really the maker. Some lorees are lemons while others are fantastic.

If you like it, and it suits your playing style, go for it! Who cares what stamp is on the bell or inside the case because I'm pretty sure 99% of the people hearing you will just care about how great your sound is.

Hmm I really want to get my hands on a Greenline Buffet though....
