Hi hautbois,
Your explenation sounds very sensible to me. I haven't played any advanced oboe before and I'm not aware of the differences between the brands. Ofcourse I read about the Loree having different characteristics than Laubin, Howarth, Buffet etc but I can't compare or even put it into any kind of perspective.
Is there a way for you to eleborate a bit on this subject, or am I asking something too advanced? I know that I'm looking for a conservatiore model, semi-automatic.
Where I live, I haven't found many used oboes by the preferred brands, and the ones I did find were all automatic.
