Okay, here's another question - jrjinsa mentioned above that my reed might need re-clipping if it's a bit flat. I'm finding this generally to be a problem even though I'm tying on to the normal length (71/72 ish). In fact, one reed I've been working on is now 67mm long, to get A=440!!
So as it's evidently not just the tied-on length which is influencing the pitch, what other factors are making my reeds go flat? Or should I just believe I'm a flat player, and tie on all my reeds to 68mm?! (I don't have this problem with bought reeds, though....)
