The shape of the bore can cause the low notes to 'bubble', and preventing this 'bubbling' is with more breath and embouchure support (which is tiring).
So as well as a leaky instrument, it also has a different bore compared to your Fox and won't be all that compatible with the reeds you already use with your Fox.
Even though I have bored up my plastic Signet with Howarth reamers to make it as near to a Howarth as possible, it still prefers different reeds to what I use with my Howarth. The tonehole layout is different on the Signet, more like an older Loree.
