Dutchy, just assume it's leaking. If you perform the suction test on it, you may want to give it a dip in alcohol first....

I'm sure it's the oboe and not that reed. That's the biggest variable. You know your Fox oboe like the back of your hand and a new oboe is foreign for now if not faulty.
