I've only measured the length of cane from where it's tied onto the staple to the tip of the cane, so the amount of cane showing on a finished cor anglais reed is 29mm maximum to 28mm minimum (the folded length showing above the staple before cutting the tip is 31mm). The length of scrape (European 'U' scrape) is 13mm in total and the thinned tip is 3mm in the middle, to 3.5mm or 4mm max. at the edge.
