Forgot to mention the 8ve keys - 8ve1 is the thumb, 8ve2 is the LH1 8ve key and 8ve3 is the third 8ve key.

So upper register E is 8ve1 xxx|xxo and upper register A is 8ve2 xxo|ooo (or xxo|oxo for resonance/tuning).

On fully automatic oboes, they only have the thumb 8ve key and sometimes the 3rd 8ve key - the main 8ve vents switch over automatically like saxes when going between upper register G#-A, so upper register A is written as 8ve xoo|xoo on fully automatic oboes.
