tonic water has quinine in it, which is prescribed for leg cramps.
as to potassium, the same truth applies to the other electrolytes, calcium, magnesium, even sodium. The safest thing to do is just keep decenly hydrated and then your electrolytes will probably be in balance (not that an extra banana or orange juice could hurt you in any way...)
