Hi all,
I'm preparing for a solo recital on Friday. When I began rehearsing with the pianist a few days ago, I found that the piano was lower in pitch than I had expected. Naturally, I compensated as best I could. However, after the first rehearsal, I found myself with some serious jaw tension. I've never experienced this feeling before (I'm a professional oboist). I chalked it up to the pitch problem, which was much improved at subsequent rehearsals. But the pain and tension haven't gone away. It's been 4 days now.
Any suggestions for a quick fix so that I can finish my preparations and perform pain-free?
Many thanks,
Plisca
