I think a truly good oboe player is someone who knows enough when to put it away.
Just kidding.
Seriously, it depends on what level you're playing at.
If you're still in the beginning stages, then figuring out tone and blend is extremely important; right up there with intonation.
If you're more advanced than just learning how to blend and how to play in tune then musicality is the biggest factor. Play dynamics, really exaggerate them. Think about phrasing; where's the low, the high? Depending on what key you're playing in how do you want your tone to sound? Excerpt from Beethoven's 3rd: starts in minor key, play dark and sinisterly. It modulates to Major, play with bright sonority!
Your articulation can suck, your rhythm can be less than perfect, your sight reading can be awful, your technique can leave alot to be desired, but these are things hacked out in the practice room.
Musicality is inborn and needs cultivated.
So many people have fast fingers, but to stand out, you have to show your heart.
