... i'm thinkin' this particular oboe must be a missed opportunity for the makers, what they could do instead is make it out of different colour plastics, remove the fittings and convert to plain tone holes so it would play as good as any recorder, add a replacable plastic reed so that kids, or maybe even elementary school core music programs doing recorders, can add the twang of Roboes and have lots of fun with it
