I've seen those Chinese oboes on eBay and wondered about them. Of course, being "made in china" it stands to reason they probably weren't going to be a quality instrument, but thanks for the hands-on review, it's very informative.

What model of Selmer Signet is it? And did you play it before you bought it, or did you get it "off the shelf", sight unseen?
