Well, I used one plastic *reed*... boy I didn't like that! It was easier to play, grant you, you didn't have to change your embouchure to go to any octave. But if I remember correctly the opening was really wide. The sound was very bright and not as pretty as it would've been with a real *reed*. The surface of the plastic reed was extremely rough and wasn't fun to have in the mouth at all. Yes, you didn't need to scrape it...you couldn't scrape it. I don't really remember much else because that was a while back. I do remember that just so I wouldn't be tempted to play it or anything, I took the thread of and took the reed apart ... that was fun! lol kept the thread and cork but through that piece of crap plastic away!!!
