EJ -- I would think that one of the Fox instruments would suit you well. Be sure to get one that has left-hand F and Bb. I hope that Bboard members who play Fox oboes will fill you in on the model numbers 333 comes to mind as one of the models I keep hearing about.
I don't have a Fox oboe, but I do have a Fox English Horn, and it really does the job for me.
