Right, sorry about my confusing remarks in my post. The 441 and 841 have the same bore, only the 441 has less keywork and my teacher thinks this may help the sound somewhat on some notes.

Like Chris, however, I opted for the pro instrument (841) just so I could have full conservatory for when I need it...I want this to be my last oboe for a while.
