Unfortunately, intermediate oboes don't generally hold their value as well as professional instruments.
WRT, Yamaha vs. Buffet, the Buffet 4052 is *nothing* like the professional oboe (3613?) in the same line while the Yamaha 441 is very similar in feel to the 841.
Also, I think prices vary regionally. For example, if you play a Marigaux but you're the only one in your area, you won't get much for it if you try to sell it locally -- it's just supply and demand.
