Since I'd like to buy an intermediate level oboe in the near future, I was looking at the Buffet, Yamaha and even Bulgheroni models that seem to be popular here in Italy. More specifically, the Yamaha 441 or Buffet 4052.
But say, in years to come, I decide to stop, or for whatever reason, I want to sell the oboe.
Assuming each model costs roughly the same, would you say that some makes are easier to sell and for more than others? Perhaps I'm wrong, but although Yamaha oboes have great reviews, the name does not have quite the same ring to it as 'Buffet'.
The other confusion is that there is a choice of three types of Yamaha 441: all grenadilla, all resin, resin upper joint & wood lower.
Any thoughts?
