According to the RDG catalog, the -2 is about 7.3mm at the tip, compared to 7.0mm for a -1 and 6.9mm for a -1N. That makes it a pretty wide tip in my estimation, much wider than a Brannen X.
I don't know of many professionals that use tips wider than the Gilbert -1 (though there are a few notable exceptions). All of the Mack tips are narrower, the Jeanne is narrower, most of the Adam tips (Sara, Samson, Joshua) are narrower.
