I believe -2 is the new REALLY NARROW shape. not wide.
-1 is is a standard, although all of the Adam shapes are wider than them, and I would say most professionals use wider shapes than the -1. I've had good results on the Gilbert 1 as well. (Again, depends on weather/humidity, as well as altitude, gouge, etc.)
Brannen X, Pfiffer Mack, all those others are much wider.
