Thanks for those two recent replies - we have considered Fox and Yamaha and her instructor will be with us when we make the final selection - particularly to try out the sound, etc. I have heard some very nice things about the Yamaha - and after some additional inquiries am considering a half wood/half resin - we're a bit worried about the wood cracking - if she really wants to continue, as she grows in her ability, I will consider the wood.
