Re: When is everybody using Left F?

... wkleung, am i reading you correctly, you flatten your top line very sharp G with low B key AND right A-flat to bring it down?? Or just low B?
How do you get your A-flat (if you're using it to flatten G)
Assuming i read you, and if your G is that over-sharp, maybe oboe techn'n could help tweak your oboe, make less work for you?

... Dutchy, right G# / A-flat is that down-pointing key other side of standard G# / A-flat key. Note that it opens the same vent, which is closed by the extension from the F# key. Right G# is sometimes referred to only as a trill key (awesome as a trill, usually palmed by base of right finger and yes much faster than using left pinky)
... also gives optional way to play G# / A-flat if you need to use left D# / E-flat or left F in note sequencing, so no, it isn't used that much, but it's a boon when needed
