It has never been the oboe, a piece of wood with holes, keys and craftsmanship. It has always been the player as long as the oboe was in tune and produce proper scale, and appropriate reeds to go with it.
Pick the one you like the best regardless of brand. If you are not able to do that and you must have someone else to tell you, ask your teacher to choose one for you. Probably your teacher knows you better than you do.
