Can someone help me figure out how to make the primary (and left) "F" on my oboe sound more clearly and in tune?

The forked F is great. Really. But the main Fs come out garbled, unclear, distinctly lacking resonance, hard to sustain, unstable -- especially the higher octave. When I send the oboe in for adjustment, it generally is OK when it comes back, but before long, it slips back into being all of the above.

This is a full conservatory "pro" oboe -- a Covey Classic.

Thanks for whatever insight you can provide.
