Cooper,

Just to be clear; you are talking about steepening the blend between the heart and the tip just a fraction, especially at the corners. Correct?

I have found this to be beneficial generally - better stability and all-round response.

Tiny movements of the knife (less than 1mm) with the reed angled upwards a little, really helps achieve this.
