Dutchy,

Alcohol is also acidic, generally. Just run fresh running cold or luke warm tap water through the cork end of the tube & out the business end of the reed. Anything stronger is going to kill bacteria (which you should have gotten rid of mostly by brushing your teeth before playing) as well as the cellulose in the reed. Hydrogen peroxide is probably better than alcohol for disinfecting/cleaning reeds. At least so I've been told.
