Adding extra keys

Adding extra keys to an oboe.
Is this possible? Expensive? Advisable?

I am thinking specifically about the right hand ring finger split key for playing the Eb trill in tune. But comments on other 'optional' keys would be very welcome.

The reason for asking is basically, is it better to spend more money on an all bells and whistles model, or is it better to get something else and add the bells and whistles I specifically need? That split key only seems to be on the really really expensive models. Can I get it fitted to something else?
