Well said! I absolutely agree. The tip is the most important part of the reed. And, unfortunately, it's the part that's seldom truly finished. I think we long-scrapers sometimes get so caught up with the windows and spine and such that we forget you can make a perfectly good reed without all that stuff, so long as you can make a really good tip.
