Re: Chudnow staples and the normal Cork Staples diferences

I was conversation with one of my teachers Lloyd Shorter (Professor of oboe at University of Delaware) about the Chudnow staples. He told me of research he and Jeff O'Donnell (Principle oboist, Delaware Symphony) did and they found that reeds made on the Chudnow staples were sharper then "regular" staples. After having that conversation I have stopped using the Chudnow staples.
