Hello everyone, I am borowing my school's oboe preparing to maybe make the switch from clarinet and I play quite sharp on Medium reeds. I pulled out the reed and it brought it down quite a bit. This is a "french" scrape reed.....I've heard that the better reeds are "american scrape". I know that might not have to do with tuning....I will be getting a private teacher this summer. Any advice before then ? Thanks-Corey
