I basically want to only make one purchase. I am just wondering what the highest quality Oboe I can find for around $2,000. Another question would be for used models to keep an eye out for. There is no point in renting or getting a lower quality instrument and then months later making a second purchase. I advance fairly fast and I am not saying it in a bragging manner, just being honest. By the time I was a freshman in high school I was already through the Klose Method clarinet book and playing grade level 6 music by sophmore year. I went on to play in college and am now an adult who just truly enjoys playing instruments. I love to learn new instruments and am looking forward to a new 'challenge' so to speak. Just looking for suggestions. For instance what models are considered the best or most commonly used, etc. Like with the clarinet it is the Buffet R13 among many other models. Thanks.
