Hi, I have played the clarinet for 14 years along with multiple other instruments. I have always wanted to learn to play the oboe and am planning on purchasing one next year. They are so much more expensive than clarinets! Anyways, I would like to get the highest quality new oboe for under $2,000. I want wood. I want it to be a one time purchase, in other words I do not want to purchase a low quality instrument to learn on and then down the road purchase something higher end. I am a fairly serious player and learn very fast. So, basically I am just curious as to what is the highest quality with the more advanced features that I could purchase for under $2000. Thanks.
