I live in the south end of the Willamette Valley of Oregon, and we are having rather nice weather here now. It's rather unusual to have temperatures in the high 70's and low 80's right now. Usually these current weeks are the hottest of the year, and might reach as high as the low 100's...mid-90's are most common (for a couple of weeks).
Although it's nice outside, we have about three big fans and dehumidifiers doing their thing on a section of floor and walls behind our refrigerator. It gets rather hot in here. Yes, our valve to our ice maker leaked. We have wet walls and wet floor. This is the second time it's happened in two years. Last time we had to pay for the damage, but I think our insurance company will pay this time. Our valve is new, and it shouldn't have happened.
Yesterday, I practiced my oboe outside with a chair and music stand. I was surprised at how different the sound was.....terrible. I know it's me, and not the oboe.
