Another available tool for "sanding" down bumps is reed rush, which are small green cane tubes with serrated surfaces...i don't generally use them because i can achieve pretty much the same effect by "dusting" with a knife, but the few times i've used them, they've worked very well, and are really handy when the knife suddenly gets dull and you just want to touch up the heart for example. Anyone else out there use them?

CJ, does the Razr Steel tool actually sharpen? I thought its purpose was to maintain the angle of the burr by forcing it into line after it's been bent back by scraping a lot...but you still need to redo the burr every now and then...what i understand is that without that tool, people think the burr is gone and so shear it off with a stone and then put a new one on which shortens the life of the knife and leads to unnecessary sharpening....i don't have one, but maybe i'll get one if you're really enthusiastic about the result...
