I think I remember you from an earlier thread on this BB. I've been
taking lessons for almost 6 months now, and I've been having the same

My teacher and I have begun to concentrate on tone...slightly.
I just want to tell you to keep up the good work, and maintain your focus
on what you want to achieve with your oboe. Beginner to Beginner, I think
you should talk to your teacher about a possible group you can join
for music making. I think you'll probably feel more encouraged and
upbeat about playing. Your teacher will probably have some ideas for you....I would think. Also ask your teacher about making a smaller embouchure on a good reed. (Do I know what I'm talking about here?  )
