hey oboehottie, I love Bach too; and none of the instruments we (typically) play on today would be what was available to him at the time! So I think the concerto would be great to play on oboe, although maybe it would sound better on EH. Of course, it is always a treat to play the d'amore! (at least I think so) and I have some good places to rent if you don't have one available.
