Thanks for tips--and yes, I do understand how to measure the ribbon, and use old shafts for shape. But what did you mean by "lining" material under the ribbon? The foam suggested by Ken Shaw does work but velvet ribbon is prettier and looks more like a professional case. I've tried this and its either a lot harder than it sounds or I am simply not the "crafty" type. Oh well, I should be spending that time making reeds instead of fussing with cases for them! Lois
