An Altoids tin is the perfect size. For the dividers, go to a hardware store and get adhesive-backed foam strips used to stop winter drafts from windows.
Put a strip in the bottom and the top of the tin. Then cut another strip, take off the backing and cut it into 7 pieces, which you stick on top of the strip in the bottom of the tin. You don't need a ribbon.
They sell on eBay for low prices, in every size from 3 to 20 reeds.
