Thanks for the thoughts.
My biggest fear is that, since we have a rising barometer right now, whatever this yuck is that is over us is going to blow out (no pun intended) and by 7:00 p.m., it will be clear and cool with the sun shining, while I have just taken my best reeds and turned them into something suitable for playing in a steam room.
Well, I do have plenty of good reeds, and I'm fairly confident of my ability to tweak them on the spot, so I think I will let well enough alone for a moment. Actually, one of the ones I used last week in Santa Fe will probably survive long enough, if needs be, for at least the Vaughan Williams "Folk Song Suite", even if it wouldn't last the whole concert.
Just fussing a little, I guess. Now that I am capable of playing well, I want it to be good.
