Hi Thomas,
Do you have a 3rd octave key? Adjusting the opening of the key hole can affect those notes.. E, F and F# in particular. For me, if the opening is too big, these notes don't come out as easily but if its too small, the tone suffers. Hmm.. that reminds me of the Bb cum speaker key of the clarinet.
Anyway, this key should only be adjusted over and above checking that the rest of the instrument is fine and especially having a responsive reed. A reed with a big tip opening isn't very helpful for high notes too. Don't be afraid to use a softer reed when you are practising high notes to prevent passing out! or when you have music that is filled with these 'heavenly' pitches.
Tone wise, practise scales leading up to those notes. Like anyother note, they all benefit from long tones and scales and whatever you can think of. Make them sound even from bottom to top. Mentally, think of them as normal notes... (Somtimes we make them sound as 'difficult' as we think they are.)
Lastly, for notes G and beyond.. sometimes a little pinch will have to do.
