I'm sorry if you find it hard for some people here to accept your qualms with your oboe. Since you did get it from Ebay most would assume that is exactly the problem... Ebay.

There are many reviews on the oboe at the WWandBW detailing the good and little faults that people discovered about the oboe. Nothing to the degree that you are finding on your oboe.

Your problems are what I would simply put off as the result of not buying from an authorized reseller. Glad it is working out for you now though.

Ebay is certainly not the place to buy an oboe without expecting extensive repairs.

Corrected bandito to Stefano, sorry about that.

Thought I would also add that I have purchased some rather bad oboes off Ebay myself and have had to have some keys bent back into place which I'm sure weren't made that way.
