Hi Sarah

You could look at the K.GE ACOLYTE.

Is got all the keys as a professional instrument. It has no wood problems. They are light and don't cost much. the tuning and sound is very good.

I don't know where you live but I know the Queensland Symphony Orchestra 2 year's ago where getting some (or have now got some ) for the outback Australia Queensland tours where the heat can be as higher than 45 deg C. opposed to the taking the expensive wooden oboe.

I know the oboe professor on the gold coast love's them.
