Hi J,
I am playing in a concert band at the moment where I am playing cor and clarinet (long story!) In the concert, I get no warm-up time between clarinet and cor and my success story for reeds has been to dip them and lay them aside (usually back in my reed case, but maybe a stand tray would be better for you). I do this at the start of the concert and then again before each cor piece. It means they don't get oversoaked but still maintain moisture.
I also endorse the K&M stand. I am using it for cor and clarinet (my clarinet actually fits on the oboe peg). It is heavy duty without weighing a lot, and I have never had it knocked over (yet).
Have fun! I would love to do an oboe/cor pit gig!
Rachel
