Oh man. Breathing!!!! It is the bane of my existence right now. I think I am coming from the complete opposite end of the spectrum, however, and sorry if this confounds the thread. I started Sax, Flute, Clarinet, so when I play Oboe (which doesn't require as much air as the former), I wind up being out of breath, because I'm breathing in over top of "used" air. I am working toward expelling air during rests as I play, as this is not an issue on any other woodwind instrument I play. I currently write in all my breathing on practice pieces. Sight reading can still trouble me if I'm not careful.
