I oil my rosewood twice a year with standard bore oil and using an old silk pull-through swab. Just have to make sure you are getting all 360 degrees of the bore. I will also lightly polish/shine the larger outer areas with a little oil as well. No sound changes that I have noticed. It does look slightly darker just after oiling. No cracks either. I admit I leave the key oiling to it's yearly check-up with the tech.
