Really don't understand why to bother too much with the material (apperances will only matter if you want to...haha...), i mean, grenadilla is good enough, and other materials are mainly used to make custom bells, which is the only part (they say the lower joint too, of course this is mostly subjective) of the oboe which defines most of the differences in tone through different material, and violet wood etc. seems to be much more expensive right? Or is it in this case? The most important thing is to make sure that all essential keys are there, prefarably with the 3rd octave key. I recommend you try doing some more research, coz with that kind of money you can get a much better deal off something which might be even better. All the best and hope your efforts will pay off.
